1812 On the Perquimans
Built in 1815, this coastal plantation inn is also known as the historic
Fletcher-Skinner-Nixon House. Listed on the National Register
of Historic Places, this house is one of the largest, most outstanding
Federal style
plantation dwellings in the region. Innkeepers Mr. and
Mrs. Peter J. Rascoe welcome guests to relive a day at their home, beginning
with a substantial
breakfast in their elegantly appointed dining room.
All
four rooms are centrally air-conditioned and heated, have private
baths,fireplaces,are furnished with antiques and have either a river or
woods view.
Spring Weekend is offered April 22 and 23, a good time to welcome the
spring season with a stay at the 1812 on the Perquimans, a Coastal
Plantation Inn, offering wonderful breakfasts and tea and crumpets the
afternoon of arrival. Bicycles and canoes available at no charge.
Information will be given regarding the grand two-day tour of homes
nearby. Explore an area rich in history and historic homes.

with live music (evening) and lots of fun! on May 20 at lunch or supper
(two tickets included with stay) Great breakfasts each day and local

The 1812 on the Perquimans, a Coastal Plantation Inn, offers Summer
Houseparties for Young Ladies and Young Gentlemen. These include
instruction in etiquette, art, tennis, sailing, canoeing, swimming,croquet,
fly fishing, etc. Classes are held weekly in June and July. Please call for
further info concerning dates of classes for young ladies and ones for
young gentlemen.
